On the palate, it is dry with racy acidity and grippy tannins, offering a peppery spice that adds complexity. However, the wine feels somewhat lean, with flavours of light loganberry fruit and a subtle oak spice that come across as sharp and slightly unbalanced, particularly towards the finish.
