Tasting notes:
‘Amplus’ in Latin means significant, sophisticated, distinguished and honourable – and, indeed, this wine is all of those. Deep ruby-hued with just a touch of garnet on the rim, the wine has red plum and black cherry fruit with violet and cedar wood undertones. Midweight and refined, the palate has brisk acidity and silky-textured tannins. Touches of white pepper, allspice and sweet capsicum add complexity. A lovely wine to serve with Moroccan lamb tagine.
