Escudo Rojo is the result of the encounter between Rothschild know-how and Chilean terroir. The name is a translation of the German ‘rote shild’, meaning ‘red coat of arms’, and firmly links the Rothschild family to Chile. This wine displays a deep ruby-purple hue and morello cherry fruit accented by cigar box, mint and milk chocolate, and a floral note giving lift. Quite full bodied, the palate has lively acidity and velvet tannins lending structure and balance. A good pairing for roast goose with lemon and lime zests, rosemary and thyme.
