Tasting notes:
Using fruit grown by Mount Riley founder John Buchanan and a few other growers, John and Lyn’s daughter and her husband Matt Murphy made this wine. Pale lime green in hue, it has pungent greengage and kiwi fruit with accents of lime zest, orange blossom and wet stone. Nearly dry, the palate has plenty of green apple, white peach and apricot, supported by brisk acidity. Sappy-savoury on the finish, this wine would pair with New Zealand green-lipped mussels in a classic marinière preparation. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
