From the horseshoe-shaped Apalta Valley just north of the town of Santa Cruz comes this delectable Bordeaux blend, named ‘Crazy Horse’. Anything but crazy, this wine delivers blackberry and damson fruit accented by spice-scented wood, crushed rose petals and a touch of peppermint. Slightly nutty, the palate flavours are supported by very fresh acidity and grainy tannins. Still youthful, but the wine could comfortably match steak served with porcini mushroom sauce.
