Tasting notes:
Peumo has a fairly fertile clay soil, where Carmenere vines (and acorns) thrive, because this grape variety needs water and the denser soils hold moisture well. Deep ruby coloured, the wine shows blackberry and Victoria plum fruit with cedar wood, red bell pepper and violet notes. Dry and quite full-bodied, the palate flavours are framed by crisp acidity and supple tannins. Well-balanced and lingering, the wine will be a good foil for roast chicken and blackened potatoes.
