Owned by the Moretti Polegato family, Villa Sandi is currently led by Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, who puts his passion for the traditions of Prosecco into modern wines like this one. A gorgeous example of new-style Prosecco Rosé, the wine has a very pale vieux-rose colour and tiny bubbles. Cherry and strawberry fruit are accented by a delicate yeast touch and rose petal note. Brut-style (12g/l r.s.), the palate displays lovely fruit supported by racy acidity and a velvet mousse texture. Well-defined with a lingering finish, the wine will make a good accompaniment for salmon tartare canapés. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
