Tasting notes:

This Mauricio Lorca flagship Malbec originates from the Vista Flores vineyards in the Tunuyán district of the Valle de Uco. Deep ruby-purple in hue, the wine has concentrated, sapid forest fruits with plenty of spicy oak and vanilla buttercream, plus a violet accent. Excellent fruit is balanced by fresh acidity and abundant, silky tannins, giving a youthful, linear style. Very focused, this is a wine to pair with venison, marinated in Malbec, garlic and redcurrant jelly, then wrapped in caul fat for roasting. Great served with puréed butternut squash and seared courgettes. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
