Vik, based in the ‘golden place’, Millahue in the Cachapoal Valley, produces wines as beautiful as its location. Named after the goddess of love, beauty and art, this wine is fresh, elegant, intense and beautiful. Pale peach-coloured, the wine shows strawberry and pomegranate fruit with creamy oak overlay. The palate flavours are concentrated and well-integrated, and bracing acidity gives definition. A very attractive wine to suit freshly-caught trout, simply prepared. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
