Tasting notes:

Santa Margerita produces a wide range of Prosecco wines and this one from the green rolling hills of Valdobbiadene is a fine-quality delight. Showing a very pale silver lime-leaf green hue and gentle bubbles, the wine has white peach and apple fruit with a gently smoky autolytic overlay and a hint of lime-zest. The Brut style (c. 10g/l r.s.) palate has good concentration of flavour, lively acidity, creamy-textured mousse and a lingering, savoury finish. A style that would suit oysters Rockefeller, or caviar on toasts. Or, just to sip as an aperitif. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW
