Tasting notes:
The Lindner family has been an integral part of the Barossa Valley for six generations. In this wine, Langmeil shows that Malbec can perform beautifully in the vineyards of Barossa. A fortuitous blend with peppery Petit Verdot, this example displays a deep purple-ruby colour and dark berry fruits accented by roasted coffee, tobacco and a hint of coconut. Sweet-fruited, the elegant palate balances warming alcohol and well-defined flavours with brisk, citrusy acidity and linen-textured tannins. Petit Verdot adds a black pepper note, especially on the lengthy finish. Great value, this wine is a brilliant match for Malaysia-style curried pork chops. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
