Tasting notes:
Since 1995 the Chapel Down winery has been based at Tenterden in Kent. With significant investment in both vineyards and winery and sourcing grapes from other exceptional English vineyard areas, Chapel Down has become a leader in English wines. This quintessential Bacchus is grown on south-facing slopes in Kent, the \'Garden of England\'. Pale lemon-green in colour, the wine displays fresh greengage, cut-grass and nettle, lemon-lime and white peach fruit. Bone dry, the palate is light-bodied and pristine with racy acidity and a hint of creamy texture from a little bit of lees ageing. A really nice wine with a brisk finish, it will match a light dish such as green pea, prawn and mint risotto. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
