Tasting notes:

Established in 1997, Doña Paula makes wine solely from its own grapes. This wine comes from the Alluvia vineyard in Gualtallary. Deep purple-ruby in hue, the wine shows blackberry and Victoria plums with creamy oak and a floral lift. Dry but sweet-fruited, the palate is warming but well-integrated, and well balanced with crisp acidity and linen tannins giving structure. A touch of spice adds complexity to the lingering finish, and the wine is elegant and layered.
