Trading as KWV (originally the state-owned co-operative in South Africa), Warshay Investments have been duly awarded for this exceptional Chenin Blanc. Pale lemon-gold in colour, the wine shows quince, mango and sweet peach with lime and allspice accents. Dry, with racy acidity, the mid-bodied palate is beautifully integrated with creamy custard and honey notes coming through. A good pairing is chicken thighs with ginger, five-spice and soy on basmati rice. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
