Tasting notes:
Bellingham has been around since 1693 and was founded by Gerrit Janz van Vuuren and his French Huguenot wife. In 1943, Fredagh and Bernard Podlashuk, whose surname means \'from the forest\', bought the property and by 1949 had revitalised it. This very modern-style wine continues their more recent legacy. Pale lemon-coloured with a green nuance, the wine displays lemon-and-lime zesty flavours and a custard note with light vanilla overtone. Dry and medium-bodied, the palate is supported by brisk acidity, gentle leesy character and spice accents adding interest. High quality and excellent value, the wine works well with a Thai-style stir-fry or Chinese dim-sum. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
