Tasting notes:
There is a rich diversity of slopes and altitudes at Durbanville that gave the name \'Durbanville Hills\' to the growing area One of the coolest of the Cape\'s wine-growing areas, which allows for long hang-time to achieve perfectly ripe grapes. The Company\'s Garden in Cape Town dates back to when fresh produce was provided to ships rounding the Cape of Good Hope. Vegetables in the garden soon gave way to Chenin grapes and this wine is a result. Medium lemon-yellow in hue, the wine displays yellow plum, custard accented by toasty oak and a hint of honey. Dry, the palate is mid-weight with well-defined flavours balanced by lively acidity and leesy creaminess. Lingering and really delicious, the wine will pair nicely with rolled chicken breasts stuffed with garlic and parsley and baked in butter. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
