Tasting notes:

The Salentein vineyards and winery are located in the Uco Valley, where the three vineyards are at altitudes of 1,050m to 1,700m. Salentein also has the nearby Killka, a gallery where wine, art and gastronomy converge. This Killka-named wine is a work of art, definitely. Deep ruby-cherry in colour, the wine has dark berry fruit with accents of tobacco and roasted coffee. Dry and rather linear in style, the palate is very spicy, with bracing acidity and dense, satin-textured tannins. A good pairing would be leg of lamb roasted with colourful yellow and red romano peppers and served with fresh mint sauce. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
