Tasting notes:

Another, equally delicious wine from Dalkeith’s young-vine Syrah vineyard in Swartland. It certainly shows the potential for the region. Deepish ruby-hued, this example shows vibrant fruit, with just a hint of earthiness suggesting a little more age. Blueberry and black pepper on the palate are framed by lively acidity and supple but dense tannins. Coconut, allspice and liquorice in the background all add interest. A good choice for kidneys in a mustard-Madeira sauce.  (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
