Tasting notes:
The winery is named after the dandelions that grow between the vines and suppress winter weeds. This wine is produced from ancient (100-year-old) Barossa Shiraz vines and made by winemaker Elena Brooks. Deep purple hued, the wine exudes black cherry, dark plums and brambles, with overtones of smoke and dark chocolate. Sweet-fruited, the full-bodied palate is bolstered by refreshing acidity and intense tannin structure. Warming and spicy, the wine will be a good accompaniment to venison chilli.
