Tasting notes:

Perdeberg have a long history of farming Chenin Blanc (known locally as \\\\\\\'Steen\\\\\\\'), not least because of the grape\\\\\\\'s versatility. Is this wine the \\\\\\\'Greatest Of All Time\\\\\\\'? Perhaps; perhaps not, but it is certainly a delicious example of old-vine Chenin. Pale lemon-gold in hue, the wine is packed with yellow apple fruit, lemon custard and an overlay of whipped vanilla ice cream. Dry with zesty acidity, the palate is mid-weight with great flavour definition and a lovely spiced-infused finish. Perfect for chicken with mushrooms, tarragon and cream en papillote.
