Tasting notes:

From a 17th century family property, the Bottelary Hill vines for this Stellenrust wine are now 60 years old, hence the number on the label. [Last year we awarded the 59 a Gold.] Mid-yellow in hue, the wine is youthful with green fruits and yellow peach accented with butter, toasty oak and honey. The palate shows a little spritz and is light in body and lively in acidity. A textural wine with plenty of potential.  Surprisingly complex, even now, the wine will be a good pairing for pork chops in an apricot, brandy and cream sauce. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
