Tasting notes:
Koelenhof\'s Stellenbosch 1679 wines reflect the heritage and terroir of the Stellenbosch region, showcasing the unique qualities that make South African wines renowned around the world. Completion of the Castle of Good Hope and the arrival of Simon van der Stel, the 10th Governor of the Cape took place in 1679. And this 1679 Series Bush Vine Chenin is a great tribute. Pale lemon-yellow in colour, the wine shows yellow apple, custard and honey with vanilla notes. The mid-weight palate has racy acidity and complexity from baking spices and lime zest accents. Well-suited to sea bass with fennel and basil en papillote. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
