Showing the appeal and relative restraint of fine Syrah from the northern Rhône, this great Cornas is medium-weight and lively, as well as starting to mature. In terms of flavours, it’s all about stewed red fruit, from cherry to strawberry, then prunes, white pepper, green olive and roasted coffee, with a mouthwatering finish, fine tannins and a touch of vanilla cream too.
