Tasting notes:

József Törley established his sparkling wine cellar in 1882, when he decided to use the skills he had learnt in Reims. His legacy lives on and today the company produces 10m–12m bottles of sparkling wines each year, aged in limestone chalk cellars similar to those found in Champagne. Very pale lemon-coloured, the wine shows melon and cherry with slightly smoky notes. Very brut-style, the midweight palate has lively acidity and crackling mousse texture, and an appealing tangerine zest note. Delicious with seafood kebabs (firm white fish, prawns and scallops) and a basil-chive butter sauce. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
