Tasting notes:

On a property of 560 hectares where the land meets the sea in the Provençal département of the Var, overlooking the Hyères islands, Château Léoube fashions beautiful rosé wines from organically-grown grapes. Pale baby-pink in hue, the wine has raspberry, strawberry and pomegranate fruit, with light rose petal and creamy lees overlay. Nearly dry, the light-bodied palate flavours are framed by racy acidity. Delicate, but showing good concentration and length, the wine would be a nice match for prawns in a creamy sauce with spring onions and white mushrooms, gently spiced with black, white and cayenne pepper.   (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
