Tasting notes:
A map from the middle of the 18th century notes the source of this wine as ‘Le Galoup’, which became ‘Le Galoupet’. Annotated then as a biodiverse Provençal forest packed with green oaks, umbrella pines, strawberry trees, rosemary, thyme, catnip and... vines, the Galoupet vineyard has been organically certified since 2023. This wine, very pale peach-pink in colour, has peaches-and-cream aromatics with accents of an English rose garden. Dry and light-bodied, the fruit-driven palate flavours are supported by brisk acidity, with a hint of astringency giving added structure. Gastronomic, the wine will pair nicely with barbecued tuna steaks and a gremolata sauce. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
