Tasting notes:

An enticing and layered nose, with coffee, woodsmoke, chocolate and rich brambly fruit initially, opens up to some more classic aromas of blackcurrant and cigar box. On the palate it is rich and intense, with warming yet well-integrated alcohol, and an appealing freshness. A classic Cabernet Sauvignon, blending the best of Old and New Worlds, this begs for roast lamb (but no mint sauce please!) – one of the later, gamier summer lambs, with lots of rosemary and garlic.  (Siobhan Turner MW)
