It feels like it wouldn’t be the Orange Wine Masters without some stars from Gerard Bertrand in the high medallists, and this one was the best of his very high standard. Mid-amber in colour, its nose is evocative of wild forest clearings – blossom, honey, orange marmalade and wild herbs with a spicy touch from very well-integrated oak. A weighty wine, it has a long and balanced finish with a lingering savoury complexity and textural grip. (Siobhan Turner MW)
