Tasting notes:

From beginnings as farmers and machinists in the early 19th century, to this wine created by brothers Alberto, an architect, and Andrea, the famous classical singer, the Bocelli family has come a long way since it first owned land in 1831. This wine, crafted in collaboration with Zonin, is pale lemon in hue with small bubbles gathering into a fairly wide cordon. It shows yellow plums and apples, with crushed yellow rose and smoky nuances. Off-dry, the palate is balanced by brisk acidity and nicely defined mousse texture. With good length, the wine will pair with a savoury vegetarian white mushroom and asparagus risotto, and one of Andrea Bocelli’s tenor solos. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
