La Gioiosa represents the tradition of the Moretti Polegato family, who have been making this ‘joyous and amorous’ marque for generations in the heart of Treviso. Pale lemon-green in colour with a broad cordon, the wine shows white peach and white cherry fruit, with a gentle kiss of yeast. Off-dry, the light-bodied palate is balanced by brisk acidity and creamy mousse texture. With nice definition and a refreshing lift, the wine is excellent for wedding toasts and will pair well with classic wedding cake. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
