Tasting notes:
The majority of the Chardonnay grapes for this wine come from the Côte des Blancs, Vitryat, in the east of the département of the Marne, and the Montagne de Reims. The resulting wine, aged for a minimum of 10 years on the lees, shows a medium yellow-gold colour with tiny bubbles and mid-width cordon. Toast and croissant accents add brightness to the crunchy yellow plum, peach and apple fruit. Brut-style (7g/l r.s.), the light-bodied, concentrated palate has crisp acidity and velvet mousse texture. Elegant and layered, the wine is recommended for Coquilles Saint-Jacques or Comté cheese.
