Established by Adriano Dal Bianco in 1946, Masottina continues to be a name to conjure with in Conegliano. From its state-of-the-art, sustainable winery in Ogliano, the family produces this exquisite wine. Pale rose-pink in colour with tiny, persistent bubbles, the wine shows raspberry and pomegranate fruit, with rose petal, orange blossom and creamy overtones. Brut-style, the delicate yet concentrated palate flavours are framed by lively acidity and a velvet-textured mousse. Nicely balanced and integrated, the wine will match cold salmon mousse with cucumber garnish. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
