One of our few Masters of 2025 that wasn’t from a famous name, but from the quality-minded cooperative-grower brand that is Champagne Collet. Ensuring it near-perfect scores was its mix of intense apple and peach fruit flavours, allied to caramel and pastry, then cream and coffee, complemented by mouth cleansing notes of juicy lemon on its near-bone-dry finish. In short, a maturing, generous, yet refreshing Champagne with a lovely balance. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
