This multi-vintage, zero-dosage blend is magnificent, with layers of flavours ranging from the fully mature to thrillingly youthful. Mouth-filling, generous characters of nectarine, honey, roasted nuts, burnt toffee and dried apple, before a set of enlivening notes, from grilled lemon to rock salt, then crushed chalk on its bone-dry finish. You don’t miss the lack of sugar – the core has a caramelised richness that doesn’t need augmenting with any sweetness. Probably the best brut nature I’ve tasted. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
