Tasting notes:
The wine is a mid-garnet-brick colour. The bouquet is already developed and complex, with notes of fig, date and coffee standing out. There is no shortage of savoury intensity. The palate is mid- to full- bodied, with enough acidity and fruit present to balance the warm alcohol and ripe but dry tannins. Good length on the finish. A beautifully complex Brunello that is already drinking well. (Jonathan Pedley MW)
