Tasting notes:
The wine is a mid-garnet-brick colour. The bouquet is already developed and complex, with notes of fig, date, coffee, leather and spice standing out. There is no shortage of savoury intensity. The palate is mid-full-bodied, with enough acidity and fruit present to balance the warm alcohol and the ripe but dry tannins. Good length on the finish. A beautifully complex Brunello that is already drinking well. (Jonathan Pedley MW)
