Tasting notes:

The Fogarty Wine Group has increasingly developed really exciting wines from the Lowestoft property. The grapes for this wine come from the valleys along the eastern coast of Tasmania. Mid-ruby in colour with garnet on the rim, the wine displays bold, dark cherry fruit with integrated, smoky wood and a hint of sous-bois indicating some development. The rich palate flavours are well-defined and are balanced by lovely freshness of acidity and satin-textured tannins. Good length and layers of flavour suggest a pairing with Southern-style roast turkey and sausage-pecan cornbread stuffing would work well. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
