Tasting notes:
‘Sante’ is named for Giorgio’s father and is a top wine from a single parcel of this family-owned estate in the Piave area of Treviso. Deep ruby-hued, the wine displays juicy Morello cherry and Victoria plum fruits with plenty of allspice and creamy wood. Mid-weight, the palate is enlivened by fresh acidity and linen-textured tannins. Well-defined and with good length, this wine will pair nicely with a meaty risotto. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
