Tasting notes:

Quinta do Noval, a name to conjure with, is well-recognised for its high-quality Ports. Nowadays Noval is producing exceptional light wines too. This delicious, pale gold-coloured wine is a blend of Viosinho, adding excellent acidity in the dry and hot Upper Douro climate, and Gouveio, which gives peach and white tea characters. The wine has a judicious dose of seriously high quality older oak, which adds depth and length to the palate. A fascinating wine that is a brilliant match for barbecued salmon fillets, with a dollop of pesto. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
