Tasting notes:

Last year, this wine (same vintage) was a worthy Gold; this year it has gone one higher, the additional age giving it time to unfurl its wings. Make no mistake, however – it is still remarkably youthful, and my temptation would be to buy a case, (try to) forget about it for a few years and then drink it over the course of the following decade. You would not be disappointed. That said, the present incarnation is a true delight. Tight and structured, yet beginning to show some generosity, with a deep ruby hue, it has a nose of ripe blackcurrant and damson, overlain with polished and beautifully integrated clove and nutmeg spice. Elegant, poised and long, with all elements in harmonious balance, this is a true delight.  (Siobhan Turner MW)
