A fairly new label created by Chris Hatcher, who has spent five decades fashioning wines for some of the best Australia producers, this venture shows off, in a rather modest way, Chris’s expertise and attention to detail. Very aromatic, the wine is intense but delicate, with apricot and orange blossom fruit. The bone-dry palate has a lovely balance of pristine, well defined flavour and bracing acidity, with a lingering, fragrant finish. The wine is astonishing: elegant and persistent; a perfect partner for scallops with fresh basil, coriander and dashes of lemon and white wine. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
