Tasting notes:
Made by monks and nuns, from the oldest Papal vineyards, this wine has anintense, complex and concentrated nose of white pepper, garrigue herbs, redberries and some stunning cherry and plum notes, with a hint of creaminess. Thepalate is deep, ripe and rich, with layered blackberries and raspberries, somepeppery spice and a hint of dark cherry sweetness. There’s a long finale of darkfruit with hints of tar, liquorice and wild herbs. (Siobhan Turner MW)
