Tasting notes:

Located at the foot of the Paardeberg Mountain in Paarl, Perdeberg has mostlyunirrigated vineyards, something which creates exceptional intensity in thegrapes. This lightly fortified Chenin Blanc displays a deep gold colour withorange lights and typical Chenin character of lemon custard, and orange andgrapefruit zest, with honeysuckle accents. Sweet (237g/l residual sugar) andtropical, the palate is warming, but supported by racy acidity. Quite rich andfull, the wine has lovely balance and a creamy texture with a touch of phenolicgrip giving added structure. An excellent choice to match key lime pie or crèmecaramel.
