Tasting notes:

The Cramele Recas estate has undergone a transformation under Philip Cox andhis wife Elvira, who replanted 700 hectares of vines and are today the mostsuccessful winery in Romania. This wine is a pure expression of SauvignonBlanc. Very pale, silver lime leaf-green in hue, its aromatics show pungentgooseberry, nettle and elderflower, which carry onto the light-bodied palate.Dry, lively acidity balances the pristine flavours. A typical example with goodintensity, the wine will be delicious with a barley risotto, made usingasparagus, cider and Parmesan and goat’s cheeses.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
