Tasting notes:
This wine comes from the southfacingslopes of the Stio vineyards at550-650m altitude. High diurnaltemperature variation gives ripe grapesthat retain high acidity. The wine shows apale yellow colour with green highlightsand lovely orchard fruits with a creamyoverlay indicating lees ageing. Dry, themid-weight palate is bolstered by racyacidity and a spicy, peppery accent. Welldefinedand textured with a lip-smackingfinish, this wine will be a superb partnerfor barbecued scallop, prawn and whitefish kebabs served with a basil-chivebutter sauce. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
