Tasting notes:

The Haid vineyard is located in Gobelsburg, with vines planted on a stony plateau at around 250 metres overlooking the Danube Valley. Although the area is better known for red varieties, this Riesling is beautiful. Pale yellow-coloured, the wine shows apricot, orange blossom and perhaps a bit of botrytis in the marmalade accent. Off dry (7.6g/l residual sugar), the well-defined palate flavours are framed by bracing acidity and a chalky-stony note. An excellent choice for rainbow trout stuffed with white fish mousse.
