From a traditional winemaker in thevillage of Langenlois, the WeingutSteininger family (three generationsso far) produce a wide range of still andsparkling wines. This Riesling, pure andminerally, derives from hard graniticsoils, with an upper crust of humusadding nutrients. The wine, pale lemonyellowin hue, shows yellow fruits,pineapple, orange and lemon, with floralaccents. Nearly dry with racy acidity, thepalate has a light body, highconcentration and exceptional balance.Really delicious and having good length,the wine is a perfect match for delicate,fluffy salmon soufflé.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
