Tasting notes:

Bernhard Gschweicher worked in Kremstal and Marlborough before joining thefamily estate near Röschitz, which includes vines up to 85 years old. Thisexceptional Grüner Veltliner is from the oldest vines, grown on crystalline gneisssoils. Mid-yellow in colour, the wine shows punchy fruit – golden apples,apricots and mirabelles – with accents of yellow roses, white pepper and creamyoak. Just off-dry, the palate has a light body and lively acidity, good definitionand balance, and very good length. Delicious with prawn and crab meat quichein a Parmesan crust. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
