Tasting notes:
One of Stefan Krispel’s main vineyards in Straden is Neusetzberg, withbasalt volcanic soil. This wine, a first growth Weissburgunder from old vines,is pale yellow-gold-hued and aromatic, showing yellow peach, pear andorange blossom. Dry, the medium-bodied palate is framed by lively aciditywith cream and bitter lemon accents. Nicely defined and fruity, the wine willpair well with tuna sukiyaki, including stir-fried tofu and oyster mushrooms.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
