Tasting notes:

Since being founded by Christian Wölffer in 1988, Wölffer Estate Vineyard hasbeen growing grapes and making wine on the North Fork of Long Island (andelsewhere). The sandy-loam soil and Atlantic breezes provide perfectconditions for Summer in a Bottle. A serious Sauvignon Blanc, the winedisplays a very pale lemon-green hue and varietal nettle, greengage and kiwifruit, with accents of orange blossom and white pepper. The dry, concentratedpalate flavours are balanced by zippy acidity and creamy texture. Lingering onthe finish, the wine will match fillet of red mullet with an olive and corianderdressing.
